All About Me

Hello, my name is Brandy Smail. I am currently a sophomore. I am pursuing an Early Childhood Education Degree at Edinboro University. I live on a farm in Laurel School District. I raise pigs, cows, chicken and alpaca on my family farm. Every summer I raise pigs to show at our local fair. I also have four dogs, three are labs and the other is a mutt. I also work on a dairy farm.
Music is a big part of my life, every time I get into my truck the radio is the first thing that gets adjusted.  I listen to a lot of country music, I like other types as well but mostly country.

My first impression of the Technology for Ed class is great. I believe, I will learn valuable things that will better prepare me for teaching. Also, it will help me better teach my students in an creative and new way.

My exceptions for this class are small. I really want to learn to better my background on technology. I know something but I know there are more things for me to learn about and I am looking forward to that!

My technology skills on a scale from 1 to 10, would maybe a 5. I know the basic with a little extra but I am not a pro by any means. I use technology in my current education through PowerPoint and video when needed. I am more of a visual learner so technology helps with that.

This is a picture that is similar to my puppy Zeke.

  1. Your puppy is really cute. You will be able to implement a lot of your knowledge of farm animals in your class room and that's going to be awesome! I want to meet some of your piggies and cows one day :)

  3. It sounds like fun having so many animals running around. I think your puppy is adorable too. I think that growing up that way will be great for your future classroom. I love country music too. The video you chose is a song I really like. I think her voice is beautiful and haunting in that song.

  4. I love the fact that you live on a farm! My mom has 3 goats, some chickens, a duck (Harriet), and lots of dogs and cats. We visit her every summer and my girls have a blast! I would love to hear more stories about your animals and your experiences showing them at the fair.

  7. I think its awesome that you live on a farm. Majority of my family lives on a farm and I spend most of my summer there. They don't have many animals anymore just mostly crops like corn.
